"Screening Hearts and Saving Lives"
Resources:

AHFS - A Heart For Sports
Our goal is to save the lives of young people who, unknowingly, have heart conditions that can lead to
sudden cardiac death. Our goal is accomplished by offering free cardiac screenings for young people
of ages 13-22. The success of A Heart for Sports Cardiovascular Screening Program is a testament to
the effort, commitment and dedication of quality people and organizations working together for the
greater good.

A Heart To Play
On average, over 50 children in Texas die each year from sudden cardiac arrest. If we could have had
them for 15 minutes…they might still be alive today! Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) claims the lives of
more than 7,000 kids per year. Most of them could have been prevented by screening for those
abnormalities that put them at greater risk for SCD. The Heart To Play offers student cardiac screening
for students which includes an echocardiogram, an EKG and a cardiologist’s review and report.

Arrhythmia  Alliance
Arrhythmia  Alliance (A-A) is a coalition of individuals, patients groups, charities, professional medical
